Children’s
Liturgy of the Word
Provides an opportunity for first and second graders to explore the Sunday
Gospel on their own level. The Presider of the Mass invites children to
gather for a special blessing at the ambo following the
Opening
Prayer. The children’s minister leads them to the Holy Family Chapel where
they can hear and reflect on the Word. The children rejoin the rest of the
community after the Creed, and continue the celebration of the Eucharist
with their families. Volunteers are vital to making this ministry
available.

"When Jesus saw this
he became indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not
prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say
to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not
enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his hands on
them."
Mark 10:14-16
