Rev. Thomas R. Park has been appointed by the archbishop as Parochial Vicar of St. Vincent de Paul Church.   Fr. Park was born in Selma, Alabama. As a child he traveled the world with his family since his father worked in the State Department.  Seeking a little more stability, he enrolled at St. Martin’s High School in Olympia when it was a boarding high school.  He never left.  He become a Benedictine monk and ordained a priest for St. Martin’s Abbey.   At the urging of Archbishop Connolly, he became a hospital chaplain and served for over thirty years in this ministry, both at St. Francis Hospital in Tacoma and the VA Hospital in Seattle.   Three years ago he left the Benedictine Order and became a diocesan priest for the Archdiocese of Seattle.  Most recently he has served as parochial vicar for St Gabriel Church in Port Orchard and for Prince of Peace Church in Belfair.  Fr. Park will begin his ministry with us July 1^st.
