Mission Trek

Welcome to our Mission Trek Page.

Mission Trek has been a critical ministry for our parish, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic we cannot safely offer this ministry at this time. We look forward to resume serving our brothers & sisters in Christ in the years to come.

Below is our ministry offerings pre-Covid. We will return to these programs in the future, but the Family Faith Formation program replaces these programs currently.

Mission Trek is a yearlong commitment of Service, Faith Sharing, Community Building and Fundraising that builds to a weeklong Mission (Catholic Service Learning) Experience in the Summer.  Mission Trek is open to all 6th-12th graders.

Every individual who participates in our programs will have been transformed into a person of love, compassion, respect for all other peoples and cultures and will intentionally act upon that transformation. We envision a world in which communities across borders work in solidarity toward a common dream of sustainable, dignified housing for all people.

Esperanza International works with our partner, Fundación Esperanza de México (FEM), to provide international service experiences for our volunteer groups in Tijuana, México.  FEM hosts groups of volunteers to help build homes and work on other projects in the under-served communities of Tijuana.  High school students spend a week  in an immersion experience of Mexican culture, socio-economic development, and leadership building.

Middle School

Date and location to be announced in October 2020.

Just5Days is a week-long mission experience of hands-on service work, engaging faith learning, meaningful prayer, community building, and summer fun. Just5Days was created especially for middle school youth and their adult leaders from Catholic parishes and schools to learn about their faith while participating in service work.
