PREPARES

PREPARES (Pregnancy and Parenting Support), an initiative of our state's bishops, is our parish's outreach to families in the Federal Way community who have children 5 and under.


Our PREPARES volunteers provide essential needs like diapers, wipes and clothing to families of all faiths and backgrounds, supporting them as they nurture their children from pregnancy through early childhood. Opportunities are available for volunteers who would like to be a family companion, providing support and friendship to parents. Training is provided.


If you know a family in our parish or the greater Federal Way community who could use assistance with essential needs, or if you would like to volunteer with PREPARES or find out more, please contact coordinator Amanda Pham at preparesfw@gmail.com or ‪253-237-4432‬.


Ways you can support our parish family's PREPARES ministry:

  • Donate new or gently used children's clothing, from newborn to size 8.

(Please launder used clothing before donating!)

  • Donate basic items, such as baby wash, baby shampoo, pacifiers and more.
  • Visit our Amazon gift list (search "PREPARES Federal Way") to purchase clothing and basic baby items.
  • Donate diapers -- Most needed are Size 6 diapers and pull-ups in sizes 4T-5T and 5T-6T.
  • Write a check to our parish, noting that it is for "PREPARES Federal Way"

We are unable to accept strollers, bouncy seats, high chairs, playpens, cribs and similar items.
